I’m Jason - no prizes for guessing my last initial. I’m married and we have lots of cats. I’ve been working in IT since 2003 and currently work in software support. That’s probably all I’m going to say about work on here.

I’m originally from London but now live in the south west of England.
why?
I started this site as a little project because I was bored of social media and wanted to devote my online time to writing something a bit more substantial than those sites allow. Also you’ll note that the posts on here don’t have comment boxes. You know the phrase ’never read the bottom half of the internet’? This site doesn’t have a bottom half. I wanted to recreate a 90s website experience without a guestbook and a flashing ‘under construction’ gif. There’s an email link at the bottom of each page if you really need to tell me my choice of Linux distro sucks or how brilliant the obscure band is that I’ve been reminiscing about.
what?
I’m a bit of a tinkerer so I’ll probably talk about the latest mess I’ve made of my home server (because of course I have a home server) but I’m also into music and books so I’ll write about those too. Plus whatever takes my fancy on the day.
